Terms and Conditions

Our objective is to deliver a first class service to all our customers, business to business and consumers.

We measure our success by the unsolicited positive feedback we receive.

In the event of any concern we promise to seek solution in a responsible, timely and fair manner.

We aim to comply with relevant trading laws. This includes the requirement to specify Terms and Conditions. The contents of this page can be downloaded in text (.txt) format here.

Business to Business

Terms for business to business transactions will be agreed on a case by case basis. New business prototype development work will generally require a deposit at point of order and completion of payment immediately prior to shipment. We will give our best estimate of development schedule and provide regular updates to provide confidence of completion to time or early notice of schedule change.

Many projects include the development of computer and/or microcontroller code. Unless otherwise agreed this code remains the property of Custom Electronics. However code developed for one customer will not be used in its entirety for any other customer without prior written agreement.

Products to Consumers

Transactions here are covered by 'The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) regulations 2000'.

Product description

We aim to make this as clear as possible. Please email us if anything is not clear.

Prices

Prices are valid on day of order. There is no tax to pay for shipments within the European Union. For other countries import taxes/duties can be applicable and are to be paid by the customer.

Confirmation of order

Orders placed on the Custom Electronics website will normally be acknowledged within 24 hours, and no longer than 7 days unless a notice is placed on the website home page.

Shipping

We normally ship within the UK by 1st class post and to other countries by standard airmail. We are happy to consider other options if a faster and/or insured service is preferred.

Cooling off period

European Union customers of products sold on the internet have the right to cancel the contract (return goods for refund) within 7 working days following receipt of the goods. Notification must be made in writing (fax, letter, email) with effective date being date of postage for letter or date of transmission for fax/email. The goods must be returned in 'as supplied' condition, preferably within 14 days of cancellation. The full costs of return shipment are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds will be made within 30 days of date of written notification of cancellation subject to goods being returned in satisfactory condition.

Applicable law (we really hope it will never come to this!)

Use and/or placement of any order indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions, and any contracts entered into are legally binding under UK law.

Privacy policy

We consider correspondence with our customers to be private, and we will not share personal information, including email addresses with any third party without prior written consent.

Please also note that all PayPal transactions are subject to the PayPal Privacy Policy.
